Tell us a bit about yourself. What was your background prior to Lucidum and what’s your current role and day-to-day at Lucidum?
Prior to Lucidum I lead sales strategy for an incredible list of blue-chip tech firms, including Splunk, Microsoft, and Accenture. Currently, my day-to-day at Lucidum is to focus on getting the word out about our 15-month-old company, while supporting our marketing strategy and messaging.
How have you brought what you’ve learned through your time at Splunk to Lucidum?
At Splunk I got to learn about new and creative ways to pique the curiosity of executives who might need assistance. It’s inspiring to learn how authenticity fosters conversations that matter.
What is it you enjoy most about your job at Lucidum?
We get to lay a lot of new asphalt that may already be there in an older company. We are all given ample opportunity to brainstorm on the company strategy and contribute to all aspects as needed and wanted.
What’s something that excites you about your future with Lucidum?
This is the second time I’ve worked for a software publisher whose technology is so compelling that clients want it nearly the moment they see it. I am beyond blessed to be a part of something with that kind of impact.
What’s the one piece of advice you have for someone looking to join Lucidum?
Examine the extracurriculars in our quadrant. The short list of 2-3 adjacent tech providers are garnering market demand and have attractive funding. This doesn’t happen by accident. There are few market segments with a short list of competitors. The probability of success here is likely greater vs. a much larger, more well-known play.
How do you spend your time outside of the office?
I enjoy my faith journey and attend a great church to support it. I also enjoy distance running and run for a charity that supports impoverished tribes in Kenya and Sierra Leone.
What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know?
I am a learning guitarist and long-time vocalist. My goal is to win a spot at our local coffee shop as the evening entertainer. My plan includes adding Amy, my wife, as the lead vocalist.
