# 1E Tachyon

## What is 1E Tachyon?

Tachyon is a systems management tool that allows you to investigate, remediate issues, and manage operations across all your endpoints in real time.

## Why Should You Use the 1E Tachyon Connector?

The 1E Tachyon connector provides visibility into the assets in your environment. You can use this visibility to:

- ensure assets are managed per your security policies

- derive relationships between assets, users, applications, and data

## How Does This Connector Work?

Lucidum executes read-only requests to the 1E Tachyon REST API and ingests only meta-data about 1E Tachyon devices. Lucidum does not retrieve any data stored on your assets.

## Configuring the Connector in Lucidum

| Host | The hostname or IP address of the 1E Tachyon server | 10.2.290.29 |
| Port | Optional The port on the server. | 389 |
