# KnowBe4

## What is KnowBe4?

KnowBe4 is an integrated platform that provides security awareness training and simulated phishing attacks to help manage the ongoing problem of social engineering.

## Why Should You Use the KnowBe4 Connector?

The KnowBe4 connector provides visibility into the user in your environment. You can use this visibility to:

- ensure user are managed per your security policies
- derive relationships between assets, users, applications, and data

## How Does This Connector Work?

Lucidum executes read-only requests to the KnowBe4 REST API and ingests only meta-data about KnowBe4 user. Lucidum does not retrieve any data stored on your assets.

## Configuring the Connector in Lucidum

| **Field** | **Description** | **Example** |
| --- | --- | --- |
| URL | The URL for the KnowBe4 API. | https://us.api.knowbe4.com |
| API Key | The API Key for an account with read access to the users/groups/training data. |  ************ |
| Data Lookback in Days | Number of days of data to ingest. | Default is 30 days |

1. Sign in to the **KnowBe4** application as an Admin user.
2. Navigate to the **Account Settings**.
3. Navigate to **Account Integrations** > **API**.
4. Select the checkbox for **Enable Reporting API Access**.
5. The **KnowBe4** Secure API token is displayed.
6. Save this API key.
7. Click **Save Changes**.
