Lucidum Recognized as a Gold Winner by the Cybersecurity Excellence Awards

AI-powered asset discovery platform achieves highest honor in five categories

SAN JOSE, Calif. – February 9, 2022 – Lucidum, Inc., the AI-powered asset discovery platform, has been named a Gold Winner by the Cybersecurity Excellence Awards in five categories in recognition of exceptional achievements by the company and its co-founder and CEO, Joel Fulton.

The 2022 Cybersecurity Excellence Awards honor individuals and companies that demonstrate excellence, innovation, and leadership in information security. Lucidum was named a Gold Winner in three categories for North American companies with between 10 and 49 employees: Best Cybersecurity Company, Best Cybersecurity Startup and Most Innovative Cybersecurity Company. Additionally, in the Cybersecurity Professional Awards, Dr. Fulton was selected as the Chief Executive Officer of the Year and Cybersecurity Executive of the Year for North American companies with between 10 and 49 employees.

Lucidum develops software that eliminates blind spots across cloud, security, and IT operations by providing context-based insights to cybersecurity professionals. By correlating data and users from a business’ security tech stack, the platform identifies unknown assets so organizations can comprehensively address an attack surface. Through Lucidum, customers can query the database to find the answers to the questions that matter most to their stakeholders, team, and business.

“I started this company with Charles knowing we possessed the expertise to create a singular platform that can help organizations truly protect their assets. Today, we have the solution and a team of experts who share our excitement for this technology,” said Fulton. “I’m honored to be recognized by the Cybersecurity Excellence Awards in both the company and professional categories. This is just the beginning for Lucidum, and we’re excited to continue bringing the most comprehensive asset discovery solution to customers.”

This recognition is the latest development in an exciting 2022 for the asset discovery platform. Lucidum kicked off the new year with the launch of new branding and a revamped website, designed to reflect the start up’s rapid expansion and innovative technology. In November 2021, the company closed a Series A funding round, with a $15 million investment led by Point72 Ventures and including investments from GGV Capital, Silicon Valley CISO Investments and leading angel investors.

“CAASM is a necessity that is gaining prevalence in the cybersecurity space. Our platform possesses the accuracy, intuition and limitless visibility that sets us apart as a leading solution,” said Charles Feng, Lucidum’s co-founder and CTO. “With so much impressive competition, we couldn’t be more excited to receive this recognition for our technology.”
