This chapter describes the actions you can perform on a dashboard.
Permissions #
-
Channels control your permissions.
-
If a dashboard is in a channel where you have read-only privileges, you will have read-only privileges for the member dashboards.

If a dashboard is in a channel where you have read-write privileges, you will have read-write privileges for the member dashboards.

You can edit:
-
Dashboards you create. For details on creating a dashboard, see the chapter on Creating a Dashboard.

Dashboards that you import via JSON file. For details on exporting and importing dashboards, see the chapter on Exporting and Importing a Dashboard.

Dashboards that you have copied to a channel where you have read-write privileges. For details, see the section in the chapter on Copying a Dashboard.
Editing the Layout of a Dashboard #
By default, when you save a dashboard, Lucidum locks the dashboard layout. When a dashboard is locked, you cannot change the layout of the dashboard.
When a dashboard is unlocked, you can:

change the position of the charts in the dashboard

change the size of each chart in the dashboard
To unlock and lock a dashboard:

Log in to your Lucidum system.

In the left menu, click Dashboards.
-
In the Channel pane, click the channel where the dashboard lives.

In the right pane, find the dashboard you want to edit. Click the dashboard name.

Lucidum loads the dashboard.

In the dashboard page, click the Modify Chart Layout (lock) icon.

To resize a chart, click and hold while dragging the drag-bar in the lower-right corner.

To move a chart, click and hold under the chart title and drag the chart to its new position.

To save your changes, click the click the Modify Chart Layout (lock) icon again.
Choosing a Default Dashboard #
The default dashboard is displayed on the Home page after login. By default, the default dashboard is Lucidum CAASM Summary.
You do not have to have read-write permissions to set a dashboard as your default. You need only read permissions for that dashboard.
To change the default dashboard:

Log in to your Lucidum system.

In the left menu, click Dashboards.

In the Channel pane, click the channel where the dashboard lives.

In the right pane, find the dashboard you want to set as default

Click on its Pin (push-pin) icon.

The select dashboard now appear after login and in the Home page.
Editing the Name and Description of a Dashboard #
To change the name of a dashboard:

Log in to your Lucidum system.
-
In the left menu, click Dashboards.
-
In the Channel pane, click the channel where the dashboard lives.

In the right pane, find the dashboard you want to edit. Click its Settings (gear) icon.

The Edit Dashboard Settings page appears.

You can edit one or more of the following settings:
-
Dashboard Name. If you have read-write access to this dashboard, you can edit its name.

Channel. You can move this dashboard to any channel where you have read-write access. To do so, select a channel in this field.

Description. If you have read-write access to this dashboard, you can edit its description.

Changing the Channel for Dashboard #
To move a dashboard to another channel:

Log in to your Lucidum system.
-
In the left menu, click Dashboards.
-
In the Channel pane, click the channel where the dashboard lives.

In the right pane, find the dashboard you want to edit. Click its Settings (gear) icon.

The Edit Dashboard Settings page appears.

You can edit one or more of the following settings:

Dashboard Name. If you have read-write access to this dashboard, you can edit its name.

Channel. You can move this dashboard to any channel where you have read-write access. To do so, select a channel in this field.

Description. If you have read-write access to this dashboard, you can edit its description.

Deleting a Dashboard #
You must have read-write access to a dashboard to delete it.
To delete a dashboard:

Log in to your Lucidum system.

In the left menu, click Dashboards.

In the Channel pane, click the channel where the dashboard lives.

In the right pane, find the dashboard you want to edit. Click its Delete (trash can ) icon.

When prompted, click the Delete button.
Forwarding a Dashboard to Other Users #
To allow other users to view a dashboard that you have access to, you can forward the dashboard. You must have read-write access to forward a dashboard to another user.
To forward a dashboard:

Log in to your Lucidum system.

In the left menu, click Dashboards.

In the Channel pane, click the channel where the dashboard lives.

In the right pane, find the dashboard you want to edit. Click its Forward (envelope) icon.

The Forward This Dashboard page appears.

In the Forward This Dashboard page, select the user to forward the dashboard to.

When that user logs in, the Channels page will include a new entry under “My Channels”. The new channel will be labeled “Shared By <user name>”. Inside that folder is the dashboard, with “_copy” appended to its name.

The user has read-write privileges for the copy of the forwarded dashboard.
Copying a Dashboard #
If you want to edit a dashboard or use it as a template, you can copy a dashboard to a channel where you have read-write permissions. However, you need only read permissions to copy a dashboard:

Log in to your Lucidum system.

In the left menu, click Dashboards.

In the Channel pane, click the channel where the dashboard lives.

In the right pane, find the dashboard you want to edit. Click its Clone (pages) icon.

The Clone This Dashboard page appears.
-
In the Clone This Dashboard page, select a channel to store the cloned dashboard.

The cloned dashboard appears in that channel, with “_copy” appended to its name.
