Overview #
Lucidum includes a persistent Bell icon in the upper right of each screen. If a number appears next to the Bell icon, click on the icon to see Notifications.
Lucidum displays the following types of notifications:
- License expires soon
- issue with an Actions
- issue with a Connector profile
- issue with Tunnel Proxy
- Tunnel Server certificate (for Tunnel Proxy) expires soon
License notifications always appear at the top of the list of notifications.
Other notifications appear in order from latest to oldest.
License Notifications #
License notifications always appear at the top of the list of notifications, ordered from newest to oldest.
- blue license notification. License expires in 90 days.
- orange license notification. License expires in 60 days.
- red license notification. License expires in 30 days.
Renewing your license clears the notifications.
Action Notifications #
Action notifications have the following properties:
- displayed from newest to oldest
- include an icon for the vendor or action type
- include the text “We have detected an issue with the action: <action name>”
- Clicking on the highlighted text loads the action for editing.
- If you fix the issue, disable the action, or delete the action, the notifications are cleared.
Connector Profile Notifications #
Connector profile notifications have the following properties:
- displayed from newest to oldest.
- include an icon for the vendor.
- can include the text “We have detected an issue with the profile: <profile name>”
- can include the text “The following profile is enabled, with all services disabled:Â <profile name>”
- Clicking on the highlighted text loads the profile for editing.
- If you fix the issue, disable the profile, or delete the profile, the notifications are cleared.
Tunnel Proxy Notifications #
Tunnel Proxy notifications have the following properties:
- displayed from newest to oldest.
- can include the text “We have detected that the following tunnel proxy is disconnected: <tunnel proxy name>”
- Clicking on the highlighted text loads the proxy for editing.
- If you fix the issue or delete the proxy, the notifications are cleared.
Sending Notifications to Slack #
Lucidum allows you to send notifications about connectors and actions directly to Slack, for easier monitoring of your system and true headless operation.
- After configuration, you can send notifications to Slack on-demand
- Lucidum automatically sends notifications to Slack at least once a day and also during ingestion.
To send Lucidum notifications to Slack:

- Use the Slack documentation to create a Slack app for Lucidum. Retrieve and store the the webhook URL on your local computer.
- Log in to Lucidum and go to Settings > Notifications.
- The Notification Settings page appears.
- In the Slack Webhook URL, enter the webhook URL you saved from Slack.
- Click the Save (disk) icon in the upper right.
- To test, click the Send Notifications Now (play button) icon.
- Lucidum will send all Lucidum notifications to the Slack channel you specified in step #1.
