Actions for SolarWinds #
- Send Data to SolarWinds. Sends a custom set of Lucidum data to SolarWinds.
Use Cases #
Below are the possible use cases for these actions:

If you want to run Lucidum “headless”, you can send relevant data to SolarWinds on a regular schedule.
- You can send normalized, enriched Lucidum data to SolarWinds to be indexed, searched, and analyzed.
Prerequisites #
To execute SolarWinds actions, you must:
- Configure a SolarWinds API connection beforehand. The required parameters are described in the instructions for creating a SolarWinds connector in Lucidum https://lucidum.io/docs/solarwinds/.
NOTE. The specified account should have read and write permissions.

SolarWinds Configuration #
To create a configuration for SolarWinds actions:

Configuration Name. Identifier for the Configuration. This name will appear in the Lucidum Action Center.

Host. The hostname or IP address of the SolarWinds API server. For example, 10.2.290.29.

Port. Port for API communication with the SolarWinds API server. For example, 17778.

Username. User name for a SolarWinds account with read and write access to API data. For details on creating a user and assigning permissions, see https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/orionplatform/content/core-creating-new-accounts-sw1310.htm.

Password. Password for a SolarWinds account with read and write access to API data.

Proxy. If you are using a proxy server to allow this connector to communicate with on-premises devices, enter the IP address: port for the proxy server, usually 192.168.255.6:3128.

Max # of Records per Payload. The maximum number of records to send to SolarWinds in each action. The default value is “50”.
Manage Action Token #
To describe an action token for SolarWinds actions:

Click the token icon.

In the Manage Action Tokens page, click the plus-sign in the upper right.
