Greenbone OpenVAS is an open-source vulnerability scanner that is part of Greenbone Vulnerability Management (GVM), a software framework that offers vulnerability scanning and management. Greenbone OpenVAS includes unauthenticated and authenticated testing, various high-level and low-level internet and industrial protocols, performance tuning for large-scale scans and an internal programming language.
Configuring the Connector for OpenVAS #
To configure Lucidum to ingest data from OpenVAS:

Log in to Lucidum.

In the left pane, click Connector.

In the Connector page, click Add Connector.

Scroll until you find the Connector you want to configure. Click Connect. The Settings page appears.

In the Settings page, enter the following:

Host (required): The hostname or IP address of the Greenbone Vulnerability Management (OpenVAS) server, for example, openvas.my.corp

Port – (optional): The port of the Greenbone Vulnerability Management (OpenVAS) server, default is 443

User Name and Password (required): The credentials for a user account that has the permissions to fetch assets, including:

authenticate

get_assets

get_results, commands

Verify SSL. For future use.

To test the configuration, click Test.

If the connector is configured correctly, Lucidum displays a list of services that are accessible with the connector.

If the connector is not configured correctly, Lucidum displays an error message.
