What is Tableau? #
Tableau is an analytics platform for harmonizing, managing, and exploring data with interactive visualizations. You can combine and manage data from multiple sources, including Salesforce data, in the Tableau platform. Tableau includes built-in data governance, security and compliance.
Why Should You Use the Tableau Connector? #
The Tableau connector provides visibility into the assets in your environment. You can use this visibility to:
-
ensure assets are managed per your security policies
- ensure data is managed per your security policies
-
derive relationships between assets, users, applications, and data
How Does This Connector Work? #
Lucidum executes read-only requests to the Tableau REST API and ingests only meta-data about Tableau devices. Lucidum does not retrieve any data stored on your assets.
