What is Zscaler Private Access? #
The Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) service provides access to internal applications and services while ensuring the security of their networks. Unlike VPNs, which require users to connect to your network to access your enterprise applications, ZPA provides policy-based secure access only to the internal apps users need. With ZPA, application access does not require network access.
Why Should You Use the Zscaler Private Access Connector? #
The Zscaler Private Access connector provides visibility into the assets in your environment. You can use this visibility to:
-
ensure assets are managed per your security policies
-
derive relationships between assets, users, applications, and data
How Does This Connector Work? #
Lucidum executes read-only requests to the Zscaler Private Access REST API and ingests only meta-data about Zscaler Private Access devices. Lucidum does not retrieve any data stored on your assets.
