F5 BIG-IP iControl is a web services-enabled open API that provides granular control over the configuration and management of BIG-IP. You can use F5 BIG-IP iControl to modify F5 BIG-IP configurations, for example adding servers dynamically to an application pool, stopping requests to an application server, changing how requests are routed to servers, and performing ad-hoc load-balancing based on current application or server load.
Configuring the Connector for F5 BIG-IP iControl #
To configure Lucidum to ingest data from F5 BIG-IP iControl:

Log in to Lucidum.

In the left pane, click Connector.

In the Connector page, click Add Connector.

Scroll until you find the Connector you want to configure. Click Connect. The Settings page appears.

In the Settings page, enter the following:

URLÂ (required): The URL of the F5 BIG-IP API

Username and Password (required) – The credentials for an account that has read access to the API.

Verify SSL. For future use.

To test the configuration, click Test.

If the connector is configured correctly, Lucidum displays a list of services that are accessible with the connector.

If the connector is not configured correctly, Lucidum displays an error message.
