Interaction Between User Preferences and System Preferences #
System Preferences define default preferences for all users.
User Preferences define preferences for the currently logged in user.
When a User Preference and a System Preference affect the same setting, the User Preference over-rides the System Preference.
For details on User Preferences, see User Preferences.
