Using MetaBlocks with Dashboards

What are MetaBlocks #

Lucidum includes a feature called MetaBlocks. MetaBlocks allow you to group Dashboards, Connectors, Dashboards, SmartLabels, and Saved Queries, similar to how you would use a folder. You can store related items in a single MetaBlock.

Adding Dashboards to MetaBlocks #

To add an Dashboard to a MetaBlock:

1. Choose the Dashboards icon from the left pane.
2. In the Dashboards page, find the dashboard you want to add to a MetaBlock.
   NOTE: If you don’t know the channel for the dashboard, you can select the All Channels option and use the Search bar in the upper right.
3. If you are using Card view, you can find the MetaBlocks icon here:

   

4. If you are using Table view, you can find the MetaBlocks icon here:

   

5. Click the MetaBlocks icon for the dashboard.
6. In the Assign MetaBlocks modal page, select one or more MetaBlocks to align with the Dashboard.

   

7. Click Assign.

Viewing MetaBlocks Aligned with an Dashboard #

To view the MetaBlocks associated with an Dashboard profile:

1. Choose the Dashboards icon from the left pane.
2. In the Dashboards page, find the dashboard you want to view.
   NOTE: If you don’t know the channel for the dashboard, you can select the All Channels option and use the Search bar in the upper right.
3. If you are using Card view, switch to Table view:

   

4. In Table view, the MetaBlocks column displays MetaBlocks associated with each dashboard in the channel.

   

Deleting Dashboards from MetaBlocks #

To delete an Dashboard from a MetaBlock:

NOTE: This will not delete the Dashboard or the MetaBlock. This action removes the relationship between the Dashboard and the MetaBlock.

1. Choose the Dashboards icon from the left pane.
2. In the Dashboards page, find the dashboard you want to add to a MetaBlock.
   NOTE: If you don’t know the channel for the dashboard, you can select the All Channels option and use the Search bar in the upper right.
3. If you are using Card view, click the the MetaBlocks icon here:

   

4. If you are using Table view, click the MetaBlocks icon here:

   

5. In the Assign MetaBlocks modal page, the MetaBlocks field displays the MetaBlock aligned with the Dashboard. Click the delete icon for the MetaBlock you want to delete..

   

6. Click Assign.
