The Audit Logs page (Settings > Audit Log) displays historical information about the actions and settings in Meridian.
NOTE: The Audit Logs page is viewable only by Admin users.
Overview #
The Audit Logs page can include entries for:
- Users (logins, password reset, SSO connections)
- User Preferences (update)
- Dashboards (created, delete, pin, unpin, update)
- Dashboard Channels (create, delete update)
- Dashboard Charts (create, delete update)
- Connectors (create, delete, disable, enable, update)
- Actions (created, delete, disable, enable, update)
- MetaBlocks (create, delete, export, import, update)
- SmartLabels (create, delete, export, import, update)
- Tags (create, connect, delete, disconnect, update)
- Queries (create, delete, export, import)
- Settings:
- API tokens (created, deleted, updated)
- Data Scheduler (run)

Viewing Audit Logs #
To view the Audit Logs page:
NOTE: You must have a user account of type Admin to view the Audit Logs page.
- Go to Settings > Audit Log.
- The Audit Logs page appears:
- The Audit Logs page displays the following about each log entry:
- Timestamp. Date and time the action was executed.
- User. Account the performed the action.
- Action. The actions that was logged. Actions are associated with Resources. Possible Actions for each Resource are:
- Users (logins, password reset, SSO connections)
- User Preferences (update)
- Dashboards (created, delete, pin, unpin, update)
- Dashboard Channels (create, delete update)
- Dashboard Charts (create, delete update)
- Connectors (create, delete, disable, enable, update)
- Actions (created, delete, disable, enable, update)
- MetaBlocks (create, delete, export, import, update)
- SmartLabels (create, delete, export, import, update)
- Tags (create, connect, delete, disconnect, update)

- Label. Extra information about the action and resource. For example, a dashboard name.
- Source IP. IP address associated with the account that performed the action.
Sorting Audit Logs #
Each column in the Audit Logs page includes an up arrow and a down arrow, for sorting the table by the values in that column.
- Up arrow means to sort in ascending order (a to z or lowest to highest number0
- Down arrow means to sort in descending order (z to a or highest to lowest number)
Each column also includes three vertical dots (kebab menu). In this menu, you can:
- Sort by ASC. Sort the results by this column, in ascending order (a to z or lowest to highest number).
- Sort by DESC. Sort the results by this column, in descending order (z to a or highest to lowest number).
- Pin to left. The column is pinned to the left border. When you scroll left to right to view all the columns, this column stays on the left border.
- Pin to right. The column is pinned to the right border. When you scroll left to right to view all the columns, this column stays on the right border.
- Hide Column. Removes the column from the Audit Logs page.
- Manage columns. Column modal pops up. You can include or not include one or more columns in the Audit Logs page.
Searching Audit Logs #
You can search the list of audit logs. To search audit logs
- Click the search icon (magnifying glass) in the upper right. A Search field appears
- In the Search field, enter a string to search for.
- The Audit Logs page is populated with entries that match the search string.
Filtering Audit Logs #
You can filter Audit Logs by Date Range, Action Type, or Resource. To filter audit logs:
- Click the filter icon (funnel) in the upper right. The Filters modal appears.
- In the Filters modal, choose one or more of the following filters:
- Date Range. From the calendar, click on a start date and an end date.
- Action Type. Choose from the list of Action Types. You can select only one Action Type.
- Resources. Choose from the list of Resources. You can select only on Resource.
- The Audit Logs page is populated with entries that match the filters.
Exporting Audit Logs #
You can export the contents of the Audit Logs page to use in reports, tickets, or share with co-workers.
To export the content of the Audit Logs page.
- Click the three vertical dots icon (kebab) in the upper right. The Share as modal appears.
- In the Share as modal, choose one or more of the output formats:
- Link. Provides a link to the Audit Logs page for your organization. This page can be viewed only by Admin users.
- PDF. Generates a PDF of the Audit Logs page and downloaded the PDF to your local computer.
- CSV. Generates a CSV file of the Audit Logs page and downloaded the PDF to your local computer.
- The snapshot of the Audit Logs page can now be shared.
